C01-01: Agent 3z3h

As you continue along the never-ending pink path, the weight of solitude bears down on you. The beauty of the world is no longer a comfort, but a reminder of your solitary state. You scan the surroundings, searching for any sign of life, but only find shadows moving in the flowers around you.

The whispers in the wind become more distinct, almost as if they are speaking directly to you. The sense of being watched intensifies, and you can feel your every move being scrutinized by an unseen force.

Dread pools in your stomach, and you wonder if you should turn back. But something compels you to keep moving forward, even as you question your sanity.

As you walk, those faint echoes of voices, whispers that seem to come from deep within the flowers themselves; grow louder and more frantic, but you can’t decipher their meaning.

You hear a rustle from the bushes, and to your surprise – someone appears! “Who are you?!” you asked, your heart beating faster.

The figure fully comes out of the bushes, revealing Agent 3z3h. Astonishment washes over you; of all places in the cosmos, Solumbra seemed the least likely to encounter her. You manage a smile and quip, “Hey, Threez, fancy meeting you here. Small universe, huh?”

Agent 3z3h divulges that she is on a mission for the Solumbran Council, gathering intelligence. She offers to join you, and you accept. Side by side, you traverse the alien terrain, reminiscing about your shared Earthly past. As you reconnect, your camaraderie rekindles, and you become increasingly at ease.

If you had been more vigilant, you might have noticed 3z’s growing unease, her glances suggesting impending danger. But instead, you find yourself lost in daydreams of comforting meals and a cozy afternoon. Abruptly, you are sprawled on your back, bewildered and disoriented, enveloped in a haze of pain and light.

Through the brain fog, you hear Threez’s apology, “I’m sorry, hun; this planet is too treacherous for both of us. I’ve arranged for a local to guide you.” You attempt to reassure her with “It’s okay, I trust you,” but only manage a feeble groan.

Everything fades to black.
